2023 Estate 'Ab Ovo' Chardonnay
Tasting notes
Our 2023 Ab Ovo is a bright and expressive Chardonnay with aromas of grapefruit zest, nectarine, honeysuckle, and a touch of brioche. The palate is layered and textured, balancing creamy lemon curd with fresh minerality and a hint of thyme. Fermented and aged in a concrete egg, this unoaked expression of Chardonnay gains a distinctive textural roundness, much like our 2022 vintage. Medium-bodied with a long, elegant finish, this wine is both vibrant and refined.
Production notes
Grapes were whole-bunch pressed, fermented and aged in one concrete egg for 10 months.
