2019 Wilkens Family Wine Chardonnay
Tasting notes
Meyer lemon, baked peaches and canned pineapple with hints of nutmeg and butterscotch. A weighted mouthfeel, balanced with medium acidity and sweet spices.
Production notes
Fruit was whole-cluster pressed into stainless steel, allowed to settle overnight and racked into a combination of new and neutral barrel French oak for a 3 month fermentation and 15 month elevage. The best two barrels of the vintage were selected for this wine.
